Unsurprisingly it was the man who scored his 100th and 101st goal who recieved the majority of the plaudits. A fantastic performance from the Portugese in which the Stoke defenders may as well have sat at home such was their effectiveness.

His first and his hundredth goal came from a trademark dipping and swerving freekick. Some may feel Sorensen could have done better as the ball did end up going well within arms reach though few could have predicted that. His second and 101st goal came from another free kick this time there was certainly nothing the keeper could do about it and it was a much more conventional strike, curling it around the wall and out of reach from the keepers stretched hands.
