Rafael's late goal spurred United on but it was too little too late for the Red Devils who lost 2-1 to Arsenal to further damage their title hopes after their slow start to the season. But who came out top for Man Utd?
Man of the match vs Arsenal: Rafael Da Silva
It happened to be the Brazilian kid who only played half an hour but his fabulous strike in the 90th minute galvanised United and it has obviously impressed you with 50% of the votes going to the latest youngster to shine for the Red Devils.
There was praise galore on the forum for the Brazilian as well, Sparky's Shorts tipping him for the first team soon . "The up side is Rafael continues his progress towards becoming a 1st
team regular cementing his promise with a superbly taken left foot
volley after controlling it on his chest - not bad for a right back."
The performance didn't go un-noticed by Fergie either with the manager praising the right back.
"The boy's such a gutsy character, and he's got such talent," Sir Alex told MUTV. "He's got great courage to play.
"He's
got the Brazilian mentality of 'give me the ball, I want to play', and
every time we get the ball, he wants the ball. It's a great attribute
to have for such a young kid," he said.
