Don't mess with Forlan! Sam will kill you :D kidding! I say Diego didn't have enough in United to establish himself as you said! I really missed him alot! He's a decent striker and could be more useful for United.

Why is he doing well in Spain? Maybe just maybe its because he's starting most games and isn't dropped if he has one bad game so there is generally more consistency in his play. Villareal manager has faith in him, Forlans repaid it.

Well Foxy, i think that the Spanish game suited him a bit more and i'd agree that Villarreal have given him regular football. Amazingly Forlan was one of the top scorers in Europe last year with the Spanish side.

One of? He was THE joint top scorer along with Henry..says something about him doesn't it! He showed clips of doing well for United and would have if played reguarly and given the chance like Saha has been.

South american players have a dificult time adapting to the premier league. I know, Gabby has done well etc...but he came to europe at age of 17! Anyway, if you analise how Crespo did in Italy and how he's doing in England, you realise there is a difference in form. Crespo obviously prefers playing for Milan than for the rent boys, and he stated that on the start of the season.
Many factors as climate, language, person's personality affect's a player's well being in a foreign country. Argentine's never got on really well with english, an vice-versa, did they?

Anyway, back to Diego, the last thing I said on him was that he would do greatly in Spain. He's a player who needs space and less physical contant to explore his capacities, and he get's that in Spain. I feel happy for Diego as he, now - obviously - realises how important Fergie was in his development. He didn't click it at United, although his goals were crucial goals for the team, but I'd take an injured Louis Saha over Diego anyday!

He's a true South American, never ungrateful, which is a great quality!

In my opinion the problem with Forlan was that, like so many other players, he wasn't prepared to play in a club of man utd size. The pressure, demands are extremely different than those when you play for a small team like villarreal. Even so, I always thought he did more than ok during his time in England. Fergie for some reason never really trusted him.

By the way, I think Park is having the same problem. Its not the same playing for PSV than for United.

It's Park's first year and he has been great! He works his sockets off like no other player. Needs to work on his finishing to transform himself into a world class player. Gabby, Edwin, Rooney and Park have been the best deals if seen in the last few years. Oh yeah, forgot the "new henry" David Bellion, he WAS class. Thankfuly not a United player anymore.
